Alan John Reade, Non-Executive Chairman
Alan formally served as executive chairman and CEO of Merial Limited, the largest animal health company in the world with revenues of $2.4bn annually and 23% market share of the global companion animal market. Earlier in his career, Alan was head of global integration at Aventis Crop Science S.A., where he was in charge of merger integration. Prior to this he was the CEO of Rhone Poulenc Agro Inc. and a member of the global executive board at Rhone-Poulenc Agrochime S.A. He has previously been a director of Sygen International Plc and president of the International Federation for Animal Health, the global animal health association.  He provides Accura with 30 years’ proven track record in leading technology driven organisations, implementing growth strategies and business integrations. Alan Reade is the owner of Global Strategy Expression Limited, a consulting and advisory services business in the life sciences industry. He is presently a member of the board of Tyratech Inc., and is also chairman of its remuneration committee.

Bernard Jason Ross, Chief Executive
Bernard has more than 15 years’ of senior level experience at private and public board level across multiple industries including pharmaceuticals, technology development and fast moving consumer goods. A former head of international development at CMi Plc, senior vice president, cardiovascular of Bioaccelerate Inc and chief executive of Inncardio Inc. Bernard has an entrepreneurial track record, building his first business in food manufacturing and distribution. After rapid organic and acquisition growth over eight years the company was the subject of a trade sale in 1996. As head of international development of CMi Plc, Bernard led the concept generation and implementation of the worldwide audit bodies reporting networks for the top 10 UK food retailers. Bernard has gained extensive experience in developing shareholder value through technology acquisition, development and licensing in the information and computer technology, pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors during the last 10 years.

Dr Richard James Cave, Executive Director
Richard has a scientific and business background with more than 30 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.  During that time, he has progressed through sales, clinical trials, training, product management and general management. He has been responsible for some of the major pharmaceutical brands both internationally and in the UK.  As international product manager at Glaxo Holdings (now GlaxoSmithKline plc) he was responsible for developing the growth of ‘Zantac’ and at Astra (now AstraZeneca plc), was responsible for preparing and developing the core strategy for the world-wide launch of ‘Losec’ (omeprazole).  He has also held senior sales and marketing positions in the subsidiaries of some of the major pharmaceutical companies including Glaxo (now GlaxoSmithKline plc), Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and Fujisawa Ltd (now Astellas Pharma Inc.).

Robert James Barker, Executive Finance Director 
Robert has more than twenty years of extensive financial experience in four countries across various industries. From October 2003 to date Robert has worked as a financial accountant for a financial services company specialising in US and UK quoted corporations. From 2000 to 2003 he was financial controller of the Amossco Group of companies, a distribution and procurement group involved in the oil industry. From 1995 to 2000 he worked for SNC Lavalin Europe Limited and was promoted to finance director during the period. From 1993 to 1995 he worked for Commercial Union Life Assurance Company Ltd and was responsible for the preparation of the consolidation of various overseas subsidiary companies. From 1991 to 1993 he was a financial accountant for Seismograph Services Limited (part of the Raytheon Corporation) and was responsible for all financial accounting and international tax planning. From 1987 to 1991 he undertook various contract assignments including Fitch and Son Limited and Hays Personal Group Plc.  From November 1983 to June 1987 he trained and qualified with Ernst and Young Global Ltd in New Zealand with secondments to their Sydney and Hong Kong offices prior to moving to the UK.  Robert is a Chartered Accountant and has a B.Comm Degree from Auckland University.

Dr Kevin George Bilyard, Non-Executive Director
Kevin has more than 20 years of senior level experience in the field of drug development.  Kevin previously held senior positions at Smith Kline & French (now GlaxoSmithKline plc), Zeneca Pharmaceuticals (now AstraZeneca plc) and Quadrant Healthcare plc (now Vectura Group Plc) before successfully establishing a drug development consultancy business. He was a member of the management team for Quadrant Healthcare plc’s initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange in 1998. 

Professor Donald Selwyn Davies, Non-Executive Director
Donald Davies has some 38 years’ experience in drug development and safety at leading academic research institutions and has published more than 250 scientific papers.  He has extensive knowledge of drug and chemical regulation and has served on major committees in Europe and the USA as well acting as a consultant for multi-national pharmaceutical companies.  He was a founding director of ML Laboratories plc, a post he held for 18 years.  He is currently Emeritus Professor in Toxicology at Imperial College London.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Royal College of Pathologists and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the British Toxicology Society. He served as chairman of Independent Panel for Vaccines Interactions Research, Gulf Veterans' Illnesses Unit, Ministry of Defence (1999 – 2007), as an external expert to the European Medicines Evaluation Agency (1997 – 2004), as a member of the Board of the National Institute of Biological Standards and Control (1996 – 2004), the Committee on Safety of Medicines (Department of Health, 1993 – 1998) and the Committee on Toxicity (Department of Health, 1978 – 1988).

Brian Thomas Hett, Head of Animal Health Diagnostics
Brian is responsible for the overall operational management of the Animal Health Diagnostics division, for identifying new opportunities including emerging products and technologies as well as investigating Out-Licensing deals with third party partners.  Prior to founding Tridelta, Brian held a number of senior management positions in diagnostic companies including Abbott Laboratory (Diagnostic) Inc. as a country manager in Saudi Arabia between 1984 and 1986 and Boehringer Mannheim GmbH where he worked between 1987 and 1989 as a regional manager in the Middle East and between 1990 and 1994 as a general manager in India.

Kieran Gerard Walshe, Head of Research  
Kieran investigates product development and improvements in order to fulfil customer needs.  He is responsible for investigating new technologies and providing a technical support function for customer enquiries.  He holds BSc and MSc degrees in biochemistry from Trinity College Dublin and has been working in research and development for more than 25 years.
